Today, Xiaomi has officially confirmed the unveiling of a new flagship dual camera smartphone on September 5th. Since this tweet has specifically mentioned it as a global launch, we do not expect the company to launch the upcoming MI Note 3 or MI MIX 2 smartphone. Instead, Xiaomi launched the rumored Mi A1 Android One smartphone which was leaked first through its global website. Mi A1 will be the first Android One smartphone of the company. Similar to the Mi A1 model number (MDG2) Launches Mi 5X in China exclusively.
Interestingly,
Mi5X also plays dual camera setup backwards. It is powered by
Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, while the Mi 6 smartphone was
launched in the first half, which came with the Snapdragon 835
processor. We expect the Mi A1 Android One smartphone to come up with
the same specifications as the Mi 5X Instead of customized in-house
MIUI, the Mi A1 box will be running on stock Android.Before: August 18 - Xiaomi currently sells high end smartphones under the Mi series and affordable smartphone through the Redmi series. Recently, Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new smartphone with dual
rear cameras in India. However, the company did not launch the flagship
MI6 smartphone in India, while MI 5X is the only new launch device for
launching dual-camera setup. The company has not yet exposed the name of
its upcoming Dual Camera Smartphone in India and my wild guess is that
the company will launch MI 5X as MI 5A in India with some changes.MI 5X Sport Metal has designed the Unibody design and is currently available in China for just 1299 yuan (about 12,500). Talking about the specifications, it shows a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, which is built up to 2 GHz and comes with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes with 3 GB / 4GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage / 64 GB. It runs on the latest MiUI 9 based on the Android 7.0 Nogate. The fingerprint sensor is placed behind the device.
There is a 12MP double lens camera on the front and a 5 MP photo camera. Since there is no home button, the device comes with a capacitive navigation button. Unlike MI6, MI5X offers MicroSD card slots and 3.5mm audio jacks. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C port. It is supported by 3,080 mAh non-removable batteries and helps to charge fast with 5V / 2A (10W) power adapter. It measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams.
